Juliette, final year student at the University of Bristol

“At the start of the year, I had really lost confidence in myself and was panicking about my university grades, I felt I wasn’t taking care of myself, and I couldn’t understand why. I was sad and stressed and tired of feeling that way. I didn’t know where to start. The coaching sessions have been joyful and fascinating. I would always leave the sessions with a lot to mull over and enjoyed the activities I would have to do each week. I was never quite certain where each session would go but I loved that Kaye would follow the natural flow of our conversations. It’s been a great way to start my week.

I am planning things out a lot better which has been crucial in my final year of university and so have become more productive. Not only have I learnt how to put aside time for work but also time to take care of myself and appreciate nature. I’m using the breathing and grounding exercises I did with Kaye and the resources that she shared with me such as Otter and Focusmate. I learnt about my qualities and strengths and where they would come out as well as understand which qualities needed more conscious effort. I’m not as hard on myself as I used to be! I am now able to plan, work in a way that makes me feel proud and use/recognize my strengths.

I would advise anyone else considering coaching to be open to new ideas, allow yourself to be challenged and give it a go!”

Isabel, artist and university student at Sheffield Hallam University

“Before starting the sessions, I was often feeling very overwhelmed by stress and anxiety about being productive and successful every day in everything that I do. This was making me feel quite down and out of control of my emotions and how I was feeling.

I feel like through these coaching sessions I have been able to develop some really important strategies to help me deal with overwhelming emotions and situations. They have also helped me gain a lot of self-awareness which has been really useful to help me develop as a person and understand where unhelpful and difficult feelings might be coming from and how to manage them.

Since finishing the coaching sessions, I have started practicing some much healthier habits to look after myself like resting when I need to rest and giving my body and brain what it needs. I have also started to think much more about how to tackle difficult situations differently with an awareness of my key strengths and values. This has helped me navigate tricky situations without getting stressed.

Thank you for always listening and helping me. I feel like I know a lot of people who would really benefit from something like this over other forms of therapy, especially people my age. It has been a really interesting and good experience.”

“Before the coaching sessions, I was dealing with chronic fatigue and chronic headaches. I was feeling exhausted almost all the time, and was going in cycles of every two weeks feeling a bit better, but then overexerting myself or getting stressed out and feeling much worse for a few weeks.

Kaye has a great way of helping you to understand yourself and your problems better, through listening and asking good questions. She helped me to explore my own knowledge of my problems and helped me to develop plans for going forward to tackle those problems. I have learned about myself: my strengths and weaknesses, what I value and am grateful for, learnt about how I am different to others and how I can best utilise my differences. I am now more aware of my differences and how I can communicate and relate to other people better. I am more aware of what I want from life.

I now think it is just a matter of time before I am fully recovered, but either way the headaches are not affecting my life anymore really, so that is a great achievement…. My chronic fatigue is much better now and I feel a lot of the resources Kaye pointed me to helped start me on the journey to getting better.”

Pearl, A-Level student, Deal, East Kent

“Before we worked together, I thought of myself as an anxious person, which was something that I thought was a large part of my personality. The coaching sessions have made me realise that I do have a lot more control over my anxiety and ability to do well than I first thought, which has given me more confidence and belief in myself.

Learning about my strengths was also very helpful, because it made me realise that I can use my own strengths to overcome challenges… This made overcoming challenges seem a lot less daunting and more natural.”

Alice, Neurodiversity and Wellbeing Consultant, London

“Before I started working with Kaye I felt very negative about planning my upcoming wedding, having had to postpone it two times already because of the pandemic. It started to show in my communication with my partner, to the point where he didn’t want to ask me questions relating to wedding planning for the fear of my negative response. That’s when I reached out to Kaye.

Over the course of three sessions over two months Kaye enabled me to shift how I felt about wedding planning and now I’m feeling excited yet calm about it. Kaye helped me explore the feelings of loss associated with the weddings that didn’t happen and re-connect with the reason for getting married in the first place. Her use of creative techniques including metaphors and brain-heart-gut inquiry helped me make significant shifts in how I felt about wedding planning in a very short period of time. I would not have been where I’m today without Kaye’s support. Thank you Kaye!

I have already recommended Kaye as a coach to my friends and would happily work with her again.”

“Before our sessions, I was already feeling a heaviness, not to say dread, of facing the winter through the Covid crisis on my own. The sessions working with you are a real source of strength. They gave me space and a context to look afresh at the issues in a playful, light and creative way. I am more confident, more positive and feel resourced to remain steady with a sense of perspective.”
