Vita Clinics plays key role at The 2009 National Obesity Conference in London

Vita Clinics exhibited and also presented a seminar at the Govnet sponsored National Obesity Conference in London on 26th March 2009. This was a part of Vita Clinic’s national strategy in terms of helping to pave the way for expert management of the morbidly obese across the healthcare sector. The event was attended by over 200 delegates, including healthcare professionals, commissioners of NHS weight management services and several leading national experts in the field of obesity. Vita Clinics was able to successfully convey key messages around bariatric surgery offering a cure for obesity-related co-morbidities, the associated benefits around these accompanying health gains, as well as Vita Clinics’ ability to offer a whole range of weight management solutions to the public sector.

International obesity expert and Vita Clinics UK Physician Advisor, Dr Carel Le Roux presented two seminars around latest developments in medical and surgical management for the morbidly obese and emphasised the need to treat obese morbidity rather than morbid obesity. He stated that Bariatric services should be commissioned on the basis of proven health gain and co-morbidity resolution associated with Bariatric surgery over and above the incidental weight loss.

Dear Sir, Avon Obesity clinic recently endorsed the use of an electronic cigarette as being a helpful tool for people who are receiving weight loss treatment, but are curremtly smokers. The electronic cigarette provides the nicotine in the same way as a conventional cigarette but without smoke! I would like to be able to offer this product to other clinics nationally.Could i ask your opinion. I am currently creating a”personalised smoking cessation program” website using this product. Regards, David Plum
